Terms of business

Algorecruit is a trading name of AI Empowerment Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15515185, with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX (“Algorecruit”, “we”, “us”).

We provide evidence-led search and introduction services for technical roles, with a focus on senior AI, machine learning and infrastructure engineering positions at venture-backed companies.

We work on a success-fee basis. No retainers, no upfront charges. A fee is payable only when a candidate introduced by us starts employment or a contract engagement with you.

The fee is agreed in writing before a search begins, typically 20 to 25 percent of the candidate's first-year base salary. The agreed percentage, any exclusivity window, and payment terms are confirmed in an engagement letter specific to each search.

Fees are invoiced on the candidate's start date and are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If a placed candidate resigns or is dismissed for performance within 90 days of their start date, we will run a replacement search for the same role at no additional fee.

If we cannot present a suitable replacement within 30 days of being notified, we will refund the fee for that placement in full.

The guarantee does not apply where the role materially changes, where the candidate is made redundant or affected by restructuring, or where invoices remain unpaid at the time of the candidate's departure.

A candidate is considered introduced by us when we first present their identified profile to you, whether in a brief, by email, or on a call.

If you engage a candidate introduced by us in any capacity within 12 months of the introduction, the agreed fee becomes payable, including where the engagement happens indirectly or through a third party.

Anonymized sample briefs do not constitute introductions until candidate identities are disclosed under an agreed engagement.

Both parties will keep non-public information received from the other confidential and use it only for the purposes of the engagement.

Candidate information we share with you is provided for assessment of the introduced candidate only and may not be shared outside your hiring team or retained beyond the process without our agreement.

We act as an employment agency for permanent placements. Nothing in an engagement creates a partnership, joint venture or employment relationship between us and you.

Each engagement is governed by the engagement letter for that search together with these terms. Where they conflict, the engagement letter prevails.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
